In the late 1980’s, at the age of 19, McCarrell founded Hunter Systems, one of the first school management software companies dedicated to solutions for faith-based and private schools. Under McCarrell’s leadership, Hunter Systems and its flagship product, School Minder, grew into an industry giant, reaching its peak as the nation’s leading provider of software for faith-based and private schools by the year 2000.
