New Feature Sends Instant, Automatic Notifications To Parents’ Device of Choice When Children Are Tardy or Absent

Aug 4, 2009 - RenWeb School Management Software, the leading provider of web-based school administration software, today announced the addition of the new Attendance Notification feature to its Parent Alert instant alert/notification service.

Parent Alert, an add-on product powered by SchoolCast™, allows schools to deliver accurate, real-time information to parents via text messaging to cell phones and PDAs; voice calls to work, home or cell; and/or emails to multiple addresses.

With the addition of the Attendance Notification feature; the service will now automatically send attendance notifications to the device or devices chosen by parents whenever a child has an absence or tardy event recorded in RenWeb. Peace-of-mind can be priceless for parents who wish to keep track of their children.

Attendance Notification adds a new element to the many ways school administrators, staff and faculty are already using Parent Alert, including immediate notifications of school closings, bus delays, cancellations and other last-minute schedule changes, as well as scheduled reminders for events such as grade reporting periods, rehearsals, PTA meetings, or test or photo days. Parent Alert also provides peace-of-mind for parents as they will be instantly notified and kept up-to-date in the rare event of school emergencies. The system augments RenWeb’s capability for mass email distribution.
